Alive Church Jobs

In 2007, Pastors Ken and Tabatha Claytor felt the call of God to move from Washington DC to Gainesville to plant a church. Without knowing anyone in the city, they packed up their belongings, left behind their friends and loved ones, and embarked on what has become the adventure of a lifetime—a true example of how to plant a church with faith and obedience.

Starting with just five people in their living room, they grew to gather weekly at the Phillips Performing Arts Center, located on the campus of the University of Florida. What began as a simple step of faith soon became a vibrant Christian church in Gainesville, FL, touching lives and building community.

Years later, God began to sow a new vision in Pastor Ken’s heart—one that would spark a move of God to bring life to dead places. This vision would unite people regardless of race, ethnicity, or economic status. It would break racial barriers, challenge limits in Christ, and commission the church to reach those who are far from God. Alive Church truly is a church for people far from God.

In 2014, Alive Church was officially launched and now meets every Sunday in two locations. Through passionate worship, powerful messages, and a loving community, hundreds of people are reached weekly at our Gainesville and Orlando campuses. Today, Alive Church is a church that opens its doors to everyone—especially those seeking a fresh start with God.
