THE ARK CHURCH STORY
The Ark Church was started by Alan and Joy Clayton in June 1996, in the Conroe Monterrosi center, with 25 paid relatives and attendees and $1500 in the bank. Nearly 30 years later, The Ark Church sees upwards of 7000+ people from a variety of backgrounds and demographics attending on Sundays and Wednesdays in a 150,000 square foot facility, with thousands more watching online. We believe it’s not the size of the church that matters, but the heart. While the size of The Ark has changed over the years, the heart has remained the same: “Build a church for the Saving of Households. ” The Ark continues to grow due to a commitment to innovative children and youth programs, strong groups and classes, a heart to bless our community, biblically sound and approachable preaching, and a heart that says Come As You Are.
