In the year 2000, as Pastors Joe and Lori Champion prayed about where to plant a life-giving church, they both clearly heard the voice of the Lord: “It is Austin.” Later that same year, they packed up their three young children and moved from Louisiana to Round Rock, Texas, just outside of Austin.
The church began humbly in the Round Rock Public Library, but quickly outgrew the space. Celebration Church then moved to the Wingate Hotel, and later to a retail space on Chisholm Trail to accommodate its growing congregation.
Today, Celebration Church in Austin, Texas, has become a vibrant, multi-campus church with a strong online presence and international campuses in Texas, Italy, and Africa, with new locations currently in development.
More than two decades later, we celebrate everything God has done through this church: lives transformed by the Gospel and an impact that continues to grow. Celebration Church has also become a key destination for those seeking church jobs in Texas, offering opportunities for leadership, service, and spiritual growth.
