JOB SUMMARY

The Worship Ministries Director is responsible for planning, leading, and developing the worship ministry of Excel Church. This includes overseeing worship services, building and equipping volunteer teams, and integrating worship and the arts into the broader mission of the church. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader, spiritually mature, musically proficient, and passionate about shepherding worship volunteers both spiritually and relationally.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES &
RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and oversee all aspects of musical worship for Sunday services and special events
• Collaborate with the pastoral team to plan worship services that align with the sermon series and the spiritual direction of the church
• Recruit, train, and disciple worship team members, including vocalists, instrumentalists, and media/tech volunteers
• Schedule team members, organize and lead rehearsals, and ensure both musical excellence and spiritual unity
• Oversee the audio/visual components of worship, working closely with tech teams to enhance the overall worship experience
• Introduce new music that reflects the culture and theology of Excel Church, while honoring traditional worship elements when appropriate
• Any various duties as assigned by the Lead Pastor to achieve the mission of the church
