THE MOUNTAIN VIEW CHURCH STORY

In 2001, a small group of believers gathered in Johnson Ranch for a simple Bible
study. With hearts full of faith and a passion to follow God’s calling, this group laid
the foundation for what would become a vibrant and growing church family.
Just one year later, in 2002, that Bible study blossomed into something more as
Sunday morning worship celebrations officially launched. The momentum
continued to build, and by 2003, God opened the door for the purchase of six acres
on Hunt Highway, land that would become the home base for the vision God was
unfolding.
In 2005, construction began on a dedicated worship center and children’s facility,
creating space for the growing number of families and individuals hungry for God’s
Word and presence.
A major milestone came in 2012 when Pastor Daniel Voss answered the call to
become Lead Pastor. That same year, construction was completed on the current
multi-use facility, providing space for worship, ministry, and community outreach all
under one roof.
By 2017, God expanded their reach even further with the completion of a school and
gymnasium for Leading Edge Academy K-8, laying a foundation for academic
excellence rooted in Christian values. One year later, in 2018, a balcony was added
to the worship auditorium to accommodate the continued growth of the church
family.
In 2023, they stepped into another exciting chapter as construction began on the
Creative Complex and Future Legacy Auditorium, spaces that will serve the next
generation and inspire creativity, worship, and Kingdom impact for years to come.
From humble beginnings to a flourishing community of faith, Mountain View’s
journey is a testament to God’s faithfulness, the power of vision, and the beauty of a
people united in purpose. They believe the best is yet to come!

JOB SUMMARY

The Student Director will oversee all aspects of the Mountain View
Student Ministry for 7th-12th grades. The primary responsibility of the
Student Director is to lead the vision and culture of the ministry in
alignment with the broader vision of Mountain View. Additionally, the
Student Director will lead the Student Team staff, guiding them in areas
of spiritual growth and leadership development.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES &
RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop strategic plans and goals, lead leadership development
  efforts, and provide oversight for all student ministry staff, while
  maintaining a consistent vision and values aligned with Mountain
  View’s overall mission
• Empower student ministry staff by providing the support, positivity,
  and resources they need to thrive in an ever-changing environment
  and meet the needs of the church
• Provide oversight and vision to the student staff and build a culture of
  unity within the team
• Represent the student team’s goals, vision, and direction to the Next
  Gen Lead Director
• Work with each direct report to ensure the ministry aligns with the
  overall mission and vision of the church
• Maintain a consistent presence in each of the ministries under
  leadership
• Oversee the management of student ministry budgets
• Perform additional duties as needed or as opportunities arise
