THE ACCELERATE CHURCH STORY

Since 2021, Accelerate Church has become an ethnically diverse, multicultural, life-giving environment where people have the opportunity to Know God, Find Freedom, Discover Their Purpose and Make a Difference! Pastor Ernest Grant II and Sarah Grant are passionate about helping people in the South Jersey region meet Jesus, walk in their God-given purpose, and live the life that God desires for them.

Located in Cherry Hill, NJ, Accelerate Church is uniquely positioned at the center of a region populated by 6.2 million people, an area we like to call Accelerate City. The Lord blessed us with a leased facility just minutes from major highways and centers of commerce, making our location easily accessible to many. We saw 330 people attend our first service on September 1, 2021, 542 attend our first Easter, and in 2023, we are prepped to grow again!

Over the past 18 months, 56 people have made a decision for Jesus, and on Baptism Sunday, we saw 31 people go public with their faith! Since our launch, over 75 people have taken their next step by joining the Dream Team. Accelerate’s vibrant kids ministry is committed to developing the next generation and has flourished, averaging over 50 children weekly.

We are guided by scripture and our four core values, which dictate our budget, speech, decisions, and actions. Just like Paul asked the church to pray that the “word of the Lord would speed ahead” in 2nd Thessalonians 3:1, we want to see the gospel of Jesus run in Cherry Hill, Camden County, and Accelerate City so that people meet God at a rapid pace!

The Creative Director at Accelerate Church will work to accomplish the vision and mission of the church. They will do this by developing strategies, leading and managing teams, collaborating with all departments, staying up-to-date on latest trends, managing budgets, fostering a culture of creativity, and representing the church well as they build relationships in the community.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and articulate a creative vision and strategy that aligns with the church’s mission and values.
• Collaborate with church leadership and other departments to ensure that the creative direction supports the church’s goals and objectives, and fosters a culture of creativity, innovation, and excellence.
• Create and maintain a consistent visual identity for the church that reflects its unique culture and values.
• Design graphics for church events, sermon series, social media, website, and printed materials that are creative, engaging, and aligned with the church’s messaging and branding.
• Ensure that all design work is executed with excellence and high quality.
• Generate creative content such as videos, sermon graphics, motion graphics, and other multimedia elements.
• Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure that all content is aligned with the church’s messaging and branding.
• Coordinate with media teams and volunteers to produce high-quality audio and video recordings of services and events.
• Oversee the church’s website design, layout, and content to ensure it is user-friendly, up-to-date.
• Maintain a strong online presence across social media platforms, sharing relevant and engaging content.
• Foster a culture of creativity, innovation, and excellence within the digital team and the church as a whole, and ensure that all digital work is executed with excellence and quality.
• Recruit, train, and lead a team of creatives, volunteers, and staff members who are passionate about the church’s mission and values, and committed to fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and excellence.
• Provide guidance, feedback, and mentorship to ensure the team’s growth and effectiveness, and foster a culture of personal growth and development within the team and the church as a whole.
• Provide artistic direction to musicians, visual artists, writers, and other creatives to ensure cohesive and impactful work.
• Encourage creative expression that connects with the church community and reaches beyond.
• Foster effective communication and collaboration between different church departments to ensure creative consistency and alignment with the church’s messaging and branding.
• Work closely with pastors, ministry leaders, and others to integrate creative elements into various church initiatives, and ensure that creative work supports the church’s goals and objectives.
