Overview

The TC Kidz Director provides direction and oversight for the entire TC Kidz ministry. The TC Kidz Director reports to the Next Gen Director and is responsible for leading and developing children and their families in the vision and mission of TC Kidz at Transformation Church. 

THE TRANSFORMATION CHURCH STORY

Pastors Michael and Natalie Todd are the Lead Pastors of Transformation Church based in Tulsa, OK since February 2015. They were entrusted with Transformation Church from the founding pastor, Bishop Gary McIntosh, after 15 years of operation. Their personal philosophy and driving passion is re-presenting God to the lost and found for transformation in Christ. They aspire to reach their community, city and world with the gospel presented in a relevant and progressive way. They’ve been married since 2010 and live in Tulsa with four beautiful children.

JOB SUMMARY

The TC Kidz Director provides direction and oversight for the entire TC Kidz ministry. The TC Kidz Director reports to the Next Gen Director and is responsible for leading and developing children and their families in the vision and mission of TC Kidz at Transformation Church.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicate a clear and compelling vision for the ministry that aligns with the overall vision of Transformation Church
  • Oversee the development of our ground and global TC Kidz Ministry including goals and objectives
  • Oversee all aspects of children’s ministry administration including: budget forecasting, security, equipment and supply inventory, distributions of curriculum materials and other educational resources
  • Oversee the implementation of volunteer on-boarding, family engagement, student transition, etc
  • Oversee and develop TC Kidz assimilation plan, volunteer training, staff and intern development
  • Oversee and develop TC Kidz programming for the weekend and online experiences including special event planning like “Fun Month”, child dedication, Parent Night Out, etc
  • Regularly select and/or develop curriculum for a children’s Christian education program that is part of the church’s weekend service schedule
  • Effectively lead, build, develop, and evaluate staff, volunteers, and interns to meet ministry objectives
  • Attend and participate in all weekend services, special times of worship, leadership meetings, large church-wide events, etc
  • Complete all other duties as assigned

  • Demonstrates a stable, mature Christian walk, reflecting the fruit of the Spirit (Gal 5:22-23)
  • Influences and affects children’s lives with the gospel of Christ
  • Believes that children have the ability to influence their families with Christ through proper learning
  • Wants to help create healthy childhood memories through the church
  • Promotes strength and unity between families and the church
  • Willing to become a member of TC and submit to the direction of the Pastors and Lead Staff of TC
  • Commits to personal, spiritual, and professional growth
  • Has at least three years of children’s ministry experience
  • Has at least three years in educational leadership or equivalent experience
  • Organized, detail-oriented, has great time-management
  • Able to innovate, build, and add to children’s ministry trends
  • Has excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Pursues continuous learning opportunities
  • Possesses strong leadership skills and the ability to strategize, organize volunteers, and manage multiple tasks/projects in a time-sensitive manner
