THE TRANSFORMATION CHURCH STORY

Transformation Church was founded 80 years ago in a storefront in 1944. In
1955, we moved from a storefront to a church building which became our home
for many years. In 1982, we needed to expand so we moved across town to our
present location and built a church on seven acres of land. In 1992, we expanded
again and our current auditorium was built which seats 350. The previous
auditorium is now our kid’s auditorium which can seat 150 kids. The dream is to
build a larger auditorium that seats 600-700 people and make the current
auditorium a gym. Our goal is to begin the planning phase in 2025.
Since Pastors Joe and Ruth arrived in 2009, Transformation Church has seen
significant growth and impact in the community. Over the past 15 years, over
800 people have been baptized, thousands have come to Christ, and countless
lives have been transformed. Over 1,000 people call TC their home. It is our heart
to continue to bring transformation to our community and see lives changed,
especially for the next generation. Our theme in 2024 is “One Generation Away.”
We believe that we are one generation away from seeing a generation that does
not know Jesus, but we also believe that this is the generation where we will see
an incredible move of God. Our heart is and has always been the “Next
Generation.” There are thousands of children and youth within just a few miles of
Transformation Church who have little or no faith involvement. The harvest fields
are great and now is the time to reach them.
God is moving in New York and the Northeast! Once labeled the pastor’s
graveyard, we see the exact opposite here in New York, with people making
decisions to follow Jesus every week. Our church is filled with people from many
different cultures, ethnicities, and walks of life. People who come to our church
with different backgrounds and beliefs find Jesus every week and get baptized.
We are not praying for a move of God, we are in a move of God. We are excited
for our future and believe the best is yet to come!
