THE LIFE POINT CHURCH STORY

Pastor Danny Rivers and his wife, Rachel, opened the doors of Life Point
Church for the first time at the Giant Steps Learning Center in San
Antonio, Texas on Easter Sunday, 2008. Seventy-two individuals were
present for the very first service. Since that landmark date, they have
welcomed thousands of new faces, many of whom now call Life Point
home. After several years of being mobile and renting spaces, they were
blessed to be able to construct a new building, located at 8098 FM
1560.

Life Point believes Everyone is Welcome, Nobody is Perfect, and that
with Jesus, Anything is Possible. Life Point Church stands as a beacon
of hope in San Antonio. Their church family is richly diverse, with people
of different ages and backgrounds coming together to worship and
serve together.

Life Point is a church committed to Christ and His word. They are
dedicated to sharing the love of Christ through ministry, fellowship, and
worship. The members and believers come together to practice God’s
word, celebrate His love, and extend His gifts to all.

As devoted members of Life Point, the congregation is constantly
pursuing the calling to be fully devoted followers of Christ. To build a

JOB SUMMARY

The Student Pastor will be an energetic, vibrant, and high-capacity leader
who loves Jesus and loves the local church. This person will have the
desire to see lost people find Jesus and see followers of Jesus grow a
refreshing and deep faith. The Student Pastor will oversee middle school
(seventh-eighth grades) and high school (ninth-twelfth grades) at Life
Point Church. They will work to develop adult and student leaders with the
oversight of volunteers to help students take their next steps toward
Jesus. This role includes weekly student gatherings (worship services and
small groups), community service, annual retreats, summer internships,
and other activities and events. This will require collaboration with staff,
volunteers, and parents, as well as a commitment to evangelism,
mentorship, and community outreach.
